La Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (CDPDJ)

The mission of the CDPDJ is to see that human rights are promoted and respected in Québec.

History

Since 2004, we provide development services and software products to the CDPDJ to help them to carry out the revision of its administrative and operational business processes.

Initially, we collaborated in the development of a web based application for the management of the Equality Access Program.

In 2006, we developed additional related applications while optimizing the software development cycle at the CDPDJ.

In 2007, we have accelerated this profitable collaboration in order to deliver several new Web applications which will support the complete revision of the CDPDJ business processes.

Challenge

The CDPDJ wants to complete it business process revision by developing several web applications to manage the following business processes: alternative methods and resolution of conflicts; follow-up of legal opinions; complaint inscriptions; planning; communication; education and collaboration, and statistical views of the entire CDPDJ processes for high management.

With this intention, the CDPDJ needed a modern approach for application analysis, development and integration in order to minimize the implementation cost of the new information processing system.

Solution

The CDPDJ selected the MyriadSuite solution in order to better support the development of its enterprise web applications. The CDPDJ uses the productivity web tool: XI-Factory for the analysis and the generation of application code, XI-Framework for OWPA/AJAX/.NET standardized applicative infrastructure, and some strategic MyriadApp web applications to supplement the solution.

The choice of this innovative solution was not done without in-depth validation.

Indeed, since 2004, the CDPDJ did put to the test the MyriadSuite solution within an important development project which proved to be a great success.

The CDPDJ is now trustful to be able to deliver a complete suite of web applications which will support in a very resourceful way its business process revisions.

Results

• This headlight project will be used as "technological window" in order to illustrate to other governmental entities the power of the MyriadSuite development process compared to the CDPDJ business process revision benefits and results.
• CDPDJ aims increasing the efficiency of its customer’s request handling and obtaining in real time statistical reports as well as immediate state evaluation of its most important public dossiers.
• CDPDJ will offer to its employees a powerful center of on-demand enterprise applications which will make possible to fill applicative space between its software packages and front office applications like MS Word and Excel.
